Shionagh has 25 years experience working as a physiotherapist in the NHS. For the last 18 years she has specialised in treating patients following hip and knee replacements, those who have fallen and are struggling to regain their mobility and older patients who wish to maintain their independence in their own home.
Shionagh prefers to see patients in their own homes, or nursing / residential care, as this enables her to design a specific exercise program for each patient and advise on appropriate mobility and /or functional aids, specific for their own environments.
Shionagh gained a first class honours degree from Kings College London in 1995 and has worked in both hospital and community settings in the NHS. Shionagh is a member of AGILE, the special interest group for physiotherapists treating older adults. She regularly attends training courses to ensure her skills are kept up to date.
